The game starts out with you, the hitman, waking up in a patient's robe in some kind ofhospital. At this point, you start getting your training in the game via the quirky voice that sounds like Dracula or something. You go through various training exercises learning how to strangle, stab, shoot, and distinguish between targets and innocents. If you aren't familiar with shooters at all, there may be something for you here, but otherwise, this tutorial mission is largely useless. Luckily, you can just run through it if you need to, especially to escape the droning of the Dracula. He even chimes in a certain parts with encouragements such as, "good, not many get this far." Why is that? There isn't a certain score you need to get on anything to get by... Whatever.

IO Interactive revealed that Hitman 3 will make the end of Agent 47's adventures and its "Death Awaits" marketing slogan suggests that the bald-protagonist could be killed at the end of the game and he could pass on his legacy as a deadly hitman to another assassin in the future.
Over the course of the games, however, 47 comes to realize that being a hitman is his life's purpose. Whenever he tries to retire, he eventually ends up back in the game, and he seems to accept it. At the end of Hitman 3, he has no reason to get back into the life, with everyone who has power over him dead, but agrees to do so anyway after a year's break.
If you're looking for the trope for the hitman character type, see Professional Killer. If you're looking for the comic book by Garth Ennis that Crosses The Line several billion times, look no further! And if you're looking for the short-lived, rather confusing Game Show, see here.
